All fixtures are available on the ladders section of the website. The online fixtures are the most up-to-date available.

Fixtures are initially released weekly during grading matches and then in 6–8 week blocks during the season.

While we aim to avoid changing fixtures, adjustments may sometimes be necessary. Teams are responsible for checking their fixtures during the week of their match due to the fixturing policy below.

Fixturing Terms

• All fixtures will be made available on the Team La Trobe website.
• For grading matches, fixtures are released weekly, at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled matches:
  • 6pm Monday for Thursday matches
  • 4pm Thursday for Sunday matches
  • 6pm Friday for Monday matches
• For regular season matches, fixtures are released in 6–8 week blocks throughout the season.
• Fixtures are subject to change.
• If a fixture is changed within seven days of the scheduled match, the team captain will be notified via automated text message.
• If a fixture changes outside of seven days, no notification will be sent; it is the team captain’s responsibility to check their fixture that week.
• No accommodations will be made for teams who do not check their fixture and subsequently arrive late or miss their match. Normal forfeit protocols will apply.
• La Trobe Sport aims to balance the fixture but cannot guarantee all teams will play the same number of games, have the same number of byes, or an even spread of matches against certain opponents.
• Teams cannot request a preferred timeslot, and La Trobe Sport does not guarantee an even distribution of match times throughout the season.

Fixtures & Ladders FAQs

When will the fixtures be released?
Fixtures for grading matches are released 72 hours prior to each match. This allows team registrations and a fair grading draw. After grading, fixtures are released in blocks of 6–8 matches throughout the season.

Is there an option to have a preferred timeslot?
Due to the volume of teams, consistent timeslots cannot be guaranteed. Teams should expect a mix of timeslots. Individual week requests may be considered based on feasibility and notice, on a case-by-case basis.

Will there be any changes to fixturing during the season?
Fixtures may be adjusted due to forfeits or stadium availability. Teams should double-check their fixture each week. Notifications of changes within a week of the match will be sent to the team captain.

Why do the competition points not line up with the wins/losses?
After grading, only competition points carry over; wins/losses from grading do not directly reflect on the ladder. For example, a basketball team with 2 grading wins and 3 regular season wins will have total competition points of 20, but the ladder may only show 3 wins.

When are results inputted in the system?
Results are recorded immediately after the game. In some cases, it may take 24–48 hours for results to appear if discrepancies need to be verified.

I have looked at the results, and our scores have been inputted incorrectly, who do I speak to?
Email playsport@latrobe.edu.au with the correct scoreline. The result will be verified and updated as necessary.

How many competition points do we earn per match?

• Basketball: 4 points for a win, 4 points for a bye, 2 points for a draw, 0 points for a loss
• Netball: 4 points for a win, 4 points for a bye, 2 points for a draw, 0 points for a loss
• Futsal: 3 points for a win, 3 points for a bye, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss

What happens if we are on the same points as another team at the end of the season?
Ladder positions are determined in the following order:

1. Goal/point difference
2. Goals/points for
3. Goals/points against
4. Past match-ups (if tied on all above factors)
